Willie "Bill" Bertrude Pittman Jr.

Willie Bertrude Pittman, Jr., 93, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Highland Home in Ridgeland, MS. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Lakewood South memorial Park in Jackson. Bill was born January 4, 1928 in Bogalusa, La to Willie and Anna Parker Pittman. He was a longtime resident of Clinton and a graduate of Mississippi College where he earned his Bachelor’s degree. Bill was a veteran, retiring as a Captain in the United States Army and a Warrant Officer in the United States Navy. He also served many years in the Mississippi National Guard. He served as Secretary for Chief Surgical Services before retiring with the Veterans Administration. A family man, he loved the Lord, his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed family get togethers, going to the beach and Ole Miss and LSU football. Those preceding him in death are his parents, Willie and Anna Pittman; sister, Barbara Manzanti; brothers, Joe and Bobby Pittman. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Johnnie Pittman of Clinton; daughters, Victoria Pittman of Lakeland, FL, Dawn (Mark) Davis of Raymond; son, Mike (Jeannie) Williams of Edisto Island, SC; sister, Peggy Clay of Columbus; brother, Maurice Pittman of Terry; 3 grandchildren, Drew Davis, Cameron (Abby) Davis and Avery Davis.
