Mrs. Willie Lou Knight Berry, 86,went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, August 17, 2019 while in the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 9am-11am Monday, August 19, 2019 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral services are 11am in the chapel with interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Berry was born in 1933 in Columbia, Ms. Her parents are the late Warner Knight and Kate Polk Knight. She was an Accountant with the City of Jackson for many years before retiring. She was a longtime resident of the Jackson area and a member of Wynndale Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, crosstitching and absolutely loved fishing. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother and the backbone of her family. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. She is predeceased by her parents, her loving husband of 55 years, Wallace E. Berry Sr. and 3 siblings. Mrs. Berry leaves behind her 3 children, Wallace Berry Jr. (Dianne) of Madison, Sharon Berry (Bob) of Terry, Vicki Alford (Mike) also of Terry. Her brother, Lathell Knight (Judy) of Braxton, sisters; Latricia Morgan of Kokomo, and Glenda Shirley of Braxton, 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, extended family and a host of friends.
