William Terrance Ward, affectionately known as Terry to his friends and loved ones, passed away on June 6, 2024, in Crystal Springs, MS. He was born on September 20, 1963, in Jackson, MS to Mr. Uttley Ward and Mrs. Francis Morris Ward. He attended Forest Hill High School.
Terry led a fulfilling life as a commercial plumber and was a hospital maintenance mechanic.
Beyond his professional life, Terry was a man of many passions and interests. Known for his love of NASCAR, Terry was a fervent enthusiast who followed the sport with great zeal. His collection of Zippo lighters was a testament to his appreciation for fine craftsmanship.
In his leisure time, Terry found joy in being outdoors and fishing. He enjoyed tinkering with engines and most things mechanical. He had a meticulous nature and his love for hands-on work. He also savored watching football games and listening to music.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Ward; sons TJ Ward, Justin Ward, James Ward; daughter Tara Herron; stepdaughters Audrea Pye and Samantha Petty; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy into his life. He also leaves behind a sister, Jamie Redmond and siblings,Johnny Brown, Kenny Brown, and Carla Bagwell.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Buddy Ward.
William Terrance Ward will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his profession, and the warmth he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace knowing that he left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram on June 15th at 11 am with a Visitation that will begin at 10 am and will last until the beginning of the service.
