IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Neal
Pleasant
May 16, 1991 – February 26, 2026
William Neal Pleasant, known lovingly as Neal, was born on May 16, 1991, in Flowood, Mississippi, to William Vance Pleasant and Frances Jenny Lundy Pleasant. Neal fought a good fight and went home to be with his Lord on February 26, 2026.
Neal lived his entire life in the Jackson area and found his home in Terry, Mississippi, from the age of nine. He was a faithful attendee of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where he found comfort in worshipping alongside his friends and church family.
Neal had a heart full of love and loyalty. He cherished visiting his grandparents and treasured the time spent with family. He loved video games, sharing laughter and adventures with his friends, and creating special memories with his beloved fiancée, Ashley Binder. Neal’s love for Ashley was evident in the joy he found simply being by her side. Neal loved his work at Mugshots restaurant and working with the people there. He and his mom were Survivor fans and would look forward to Wednesday's and having Survivor spaghetti.
A true animal lover, Neal adored his dog, Callie, his two cats, Kaycee and Gus, and Ashley's dog, Bella. He never outgrew the joy of visiting the zoo and had a special fondness for animals of all kinds. Neal was also a devoted fan of the Florida Gators and would be proud to see friends and loved ones wearing blue and orange in his honor.
Neal was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert B. Lundy; his paternal grandparents, Marion and Vera Pleasant; his aunt, Kathryn Lucas; and uncle, Marc Lucas.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Bill and Jenny Pleasant; his fiancée, Ashley Binder; his aunt, Dianne Walker (Drew); his uncle, Robert B. Lundy, Jr.; his cousins, Travis Walker, Kristin Durgee (John), Hannah Walker, Dustin Lucas, Kevin Lucas, and Patrick Lucas; special friends, David Miller, Richard and Beckie Feldman, and Drew McGraw.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Neal’s name to the Jackson Zoo or to your local animal shelter.
Funeral services will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, Mississippi on March 3, 2026, with a graveside service to follow at Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery in Terry, Mississippi.
Neal’s kindness, devotion, and love for his family, friends, and animals will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
