William Frank Newsome Sr.

William Frank Newsome, 56, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at UMC in Jackson. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 4:00pm on Monday August 28, 2017 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. William was born April 11, 1961 in Jackson, MS. He was self employed as a carpenter and enjoyed gardening and an avid outdoorsman. His family will remember him for always being a tough yet tender man. William was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Sally Mae Newsome of Jackson; wife, Sherry Neese of Crystal Springs; a son, William Newsome II of Mendenhall; a step daughter, Deborah Lovorn of Florence; his brother, Dewey Wayne Newsome of Clinton; and 7 grandchildren, Dathan Newsome, Chloe Newsome, Sophie Mitchell, Amber Smitherman, Catherine Hazlewood, William Smitherman, and Brian Griffith.
