William Andrew Mason, Jr.

William “Bill” Andrew Mason, Jr. passed away at his home on Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Richland, MS. He was 72 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025, and again on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home Florence, MS. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, followed by burial in the Garden of Memories.

Bill was born on October 13, 1952, in Jackson, MS. He was an architectural draftsman for Jackson Public School District. Bill met the love of his life, Frances Greer, and married her on December 15, 1973. They were married for 50 years. He loved racing and was a Sprint Car driver himself. Bill was a 6th degree blackbelt Karate and was a skydiver with 2700 completed jumps. He loved his family, and he will truly be missed.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Frances Greer Mason of Richland; son, Billy Mason (Shannon) of Madison; granddaughter, Morgan Mason and grandson, Cooper Mason.
