Virginia Faye Holladay

September 20, 1942 — March 12, 2024

Richland

Virginia “Faye” Holladay, 81, a devoted loving wife, mother, Mamaw, and friend left behind a legacy of love, kindness, compassion, and generosity with a complete heart of service that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.

Faye was born on September 20, 1942, in Durant, MS and peacefully passed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on the morning of March 12, 2024 at her home in Richland, MS.

Faye, better know as “Mamaw”, loved her family and, if she called you a friend, she treated you like family. Faye loved people, festive gatherings, the holidays, cooking and serving those she loved. Faye loved life, Jesus and being involved in all of her grandchildren’s activities. She recently told us that the one thing she wanted before passing was to meet all of her great grandchildren. She was so thankful that God allowed her to do just that.

Faye was preceded in death by both of her parents, Floyd Ezell Richardson and Julia Agnus Richardson; her sisters, Myrtle Jane Stewart and Nannette Leach; daughter, Kelly Ramsey; grandson, John O’Reilly; stepson, Eric Holladay; grandson, Kody Holladay and granddaughter, Trisha Holladay.

Faye is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bruce Holladay; her son, Ken (Katie) Ramsey; daughters, Wendy O’Reilly and Kristy Christensen; stepson, Brian (Christine) Holladay; grandchildren, Brett (Mary-Stafford) Christensen, Cole Dennis, Gavin (Kelly) Dennis, Lake Christensen, Alex O’Reilly, Lexie Christensen, Kameron Holladay (Shalisa), Kevin (Catherine) Holladay, and David Holladay;  great grandchildren, Stafford, Colton, Scottie, Rubee, Paisely, Hailoe, Silas, Alyzazabeth, Kailyn, Bryleigh, Hiro, Frankie, Helix and Remi. She is also survived by a multitude of  children and grandchildren she claimed as her own, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Faye truly loved her family, and they truly loved her.
