Tina Melton Price, affectionately known as “Meanie,” departed this life on January 14, 2026, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for nature. She was born on June 17, 1965, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, and she carried the spirit of her birthplace throughout her life.

Tina had a profound love for plants, the beach, and crafts, which she often shared with those close to her. Her playful nickname “Meanie” belied her warm and nurturing nature, particularly her profound joy in being a grandmother. Tina delighted in her role as a grandmother to Aidan, Kevin, Sawyer, Conner, Dalton, Blake, Allie, Waylen, Hank, Hunter, Wyatt, and Chloe, and her grandchildren will forever cherish the moments they spent with her.

Her family was her pride and joy, and she is survived by her father, John Wesley Melton; her son, Cole (Holly) Price; her daughters, Katie (Bobby) Jones and Kayla (Michael) Jennings; the father of her children, Karlton Price; her step-daughter, Kaise (Shane) Duval; and her devoted boyfriend, Ralph Sykes. Additionally, she leaves behind brothers and sisters, along with many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held for Tina on January 20, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Mississippi. The address is 2576 US 49, Florence, MS 39073.
