Teresa Rene' Hardesty, a beloved School Counselor for elementary children, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Teresa was born on May 13, 1967, in Gadsden, Alabama. She grew up in Deweyville and Bridge City, Texas. She will always be remembered for her passion for teaching and helping children, both in school and during VBS sessions.
 
In her career as a School Counselor, Teresa touched the lives of many young children with her kindness and dedication. Her love for reading, cooking, and crafting only added to her nurturing personality. Teresa also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors - whether it was camping, swimming, fishing, or simply basking in the sun. Her family vacations were meticulously planned and full of joyous memories.
 
Teresa cherished the title of "Grammy" and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren - Montgomery, Macki-Lee, and Malachi Hardesty. She found immense joy in their presence and took pride in watching them grow.
 
Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Roger Dale and Sandra Carol Scott St. John, as well as her brother Wesley Burton St. John. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Kevin Hardesty; son Austin Hardesty and his wife Chelsea of Terrell, TX; daughters Caitlen Hardesty of Dallas, TX and Lauren Johnson and her husband Scott; brother Rodney St. John and his wife Regina of Mesquite, TX; nephews Rowan St. John, Reid St. John and his wife Luana, and Ross St. John.
 
Teresa Rene' Hardesty leaves behind a legacy of compassion, love, and dedication to her family and the children she guided throughout her years as a School Counselor. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
