Sylvia Jane Holder

Sylvia Jane Holder,77, went to be with her Lord, Saturday July 23, 2022, in Hattiesburg, MS. Her family will celebrate her life with a graveside service at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.

Sylvia was born December 21, 1944, in Sylacauga, AL to Cecil and Mary Smith.  A Baptist by faith, she was a homemaker and a member of the Lions Club. She loved country music and had a passion for interior design. Sylvia was a fun-loving person who never met a stranger. She loved the Lord and loved telling others about him. She had a servant’s heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Harold Holder; son, Ricky L. Holder; sisters, Glenda Brown, Mary Alice Holder and Maxine Rogers; half-brother, Leman B. Heflin. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Cecil Wayne Smith and wife Carolyn of Brandon, MS; Gloria Fay Rogers and husband Allen of Diamondhead; granddaughters Whitney Mannon and husband Ethan, Paige Dedmon and husband Hunter, Emily Peacock and husband Scott and Numerous nieces and nephews.
