Stanley Arlon Shows, 62, passed away September 17, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson after a ten-year battle with bladder cancer. Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with interment at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home with one hour visitation prior to the service.\ Stanley is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Alison Tyler (Todd) of Brandon; son, Stanton of Florence; two grandsons, Evan and Brett Tyler; parents, Joseph Marvin Shows and Frankie Merle Shows, of Martinville, MS; sisters, Becky Crout (John) and Nancy Meaux (E.J.), both of Martinville and several nieces and nephews.\ Stanley was a graduate of Mendenhall High School. He attended Copiah-Lincoln Junior College on a football scholarship and continued his education at the University of Southern Mississippi, receiving a degree in history.
