Stanley Stevens Divine

Stanley Stevens Divine, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28th, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on March 23, 1950, Stanley lived a remarkable life defined by passion, hard work, and unwavering love for his family.

A standout athlete in high school, Stan’s love for football instilled in him the values of teamwork and perseverance. He enjoyed a successful career, dedicating most of his life to sales and advertising, where he owned several companies. Stan’s entrepreneurial spirit was matched by his adventurous side; he proudly earned his pilot's license and delighted in flying his own plane.

Stan was known for his strong will, resilience, and quick wit. He had a unique ability to make those around him laugh and feel at ease. His intelligence and confidence inspired everyone who knew him, and he faced life’s challenges with remarkable courage.

Above all, Stan treasured his role as a father. He was devoted to his sons, Jon Bradley Divine and Matthew Steven Divine, and deeply cared for his daughter-in-laws, Ashley Divine and Katie Divine. The light of his life came from his grandchildren, Ellie Mae, Wyatt Steven, and Lane Bradley, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

An avid sports fan, Stan passionately supported the Houston Texans, the Houston Astros, and the Ole Miss Rebels. He enjoyed spending weekends on the golf course, where he built lasting memories with friends and family.

Stan is survived by his loving sons, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, and his siblings, Wayne, Sandra, Carolyn, and Pam who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. A celebration of Stanley's life will be held on October 5th with a Visitation from 1pm - 3pm and a Memorial Service starting at 3pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS.
