Shirley Smith

Mrs. Shirley S. Smith, 71 died at her residence of Sandy Hook, MS, December 20, 2007. Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with interment at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive.\ \ Mrs. Smith formerly lived in Magee before moving to Sandy Hook. She is remembered as being a loving, mother, grandmother, sibling and friend. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cross-stitching. \ \ She was preceded in death by her parents, Windom and Ida Vallie Sullivan.\ \ She is survived by her daughter, Sandra S. Thomas of Sandy Hook; sons: Douglas E. Smith of Florence and James R. Smith of Raleigh; brother, Pat Sullivan of Mendenhall; sisters: Mary Phillips and Judy Phillips both of Richland; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.\
