Shirley Jean Sessions, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, in Raymond, Mississippi.  Born on May 10, 1939, in Conn, Mississippi, to Henry Jenkins and Bennie Covington. Shirley’s journey through life was marked by creativity, warmth, and an abiding love for nature.

Shirley was a self-employed interior designer, a career that allowed her to express her remarkable eye for detail and design. Her skill and dedication brought beauty and comfort to many homes.

Her life was nurtured by simple joys, most notably her love of gardening and butterflies. These passions were not only hobbies but a reflection of her gentle spirit and appreciation for the delicate wonders of the natural world.

In 1963, she relocated from her birthplace of Conn, Mississippi, to Washington, DC, and later settled in Atlanta, Georgia. It was in 2014, when she relocated to Raymond and she spent her final years surrounded by those who loved her.
