Mr. Shelvie Wayne Rutland, Jr.

Shelvie Wayne Rutland, Jr., 50, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood after a long illness. A graveside service will be held at the Rutland Family Cemetery on Tuesday, February 4th at 10:00 AM. Mr. Rutland lived in the Florence area most of his life. He enjoyed music, old movies, and being outdoors. Mr. Rutland is preceded in death by his father, Shelvie Wayne Rutland, Sr.; sisters, Elizabeth Ann Huff and Stephanie Cerami; and by his grandmothers, Eunice Rutland and Frances Ethridge. He is survived by his wife, Judy Rutland of Florence; son, David Wayne Rutland of Florence; daughters, Jamie (Jordan) Boyd of Richland and Eliza (Matt) Fletcher of Florence; mother, Reba Ethridge of Florence; stepmother, Edna Rutland of Florence; brothers, Tim Rutland of Brandon and David Boyd of Florence; sister, Loni Rutland of Florence; grandchildren, Sarah and Autumn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
