Mr. Scott "Scotty" Austin Reese

Scott “Scotty” Austin Reese, 26, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 and 10am until the 11am funeral service Friday, March 24, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood South. Scotty was a lifelong resident of Jackson, He attended Hillcrest and Terry High Schools, graduating from Copiah Academy. He attended William Carey College on a baseball scholarship and graduated from University of Southern MS. He was an avid baseball and soccer player. Scotty had an infectious smile, brightening any group and was a friend to all he met. He loved and was loved by his nieces and nephews. Scotty attended Country Woods Baptist Church. Survivors include his father, Dennis Reese of Jackson; mother, Layla Reese of Brandon; grandparents Melvin & Theda Howell; brothers, Jeremy (Celeste) Reese and Garrett Reese and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to William Carey College.
