IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra Nell
Vore
January 21, 1957 – February 19, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Sandra Nell Vore on February 19, 2026, at Mississippi Baptist Hospital. Born on January 21, 1957, in McComb, Mississippi, Sandra radiated warmth and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her.
Sandra was a devoted wife to her cherished husband, Larry Maurice Vore. Their partnership was one built on unwavering love and mutual respect, a beacon of inspiration for those around them. Together, they weathered life's challenges with grace and found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
As a mother, Sandra showered her children—James Copelan (Lauren), Joni Rice, Jessica Smithhart, and stepson Michael Vore (Darlene)-with endless love and support. She took great pride in her role as their guide through life, instilling in them the values of compassion, dedication, and hard work. Her heart expanded to welcome her step-daughters, Sharry Perry, Tricia Jones, and Deborah Wilson (Jeff), into her family, forging bonds that transcended traditional roles.
Sandra found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, relishing every moment spent with Jacob, Joshalyn, Gabby Coplan, Skylar Smithhart Vore Hofler and Brooklen Powell. The laughter and love she shared with them were the lights in her life. She cherished her seven great-grandchildren, delighting in the new generation that brought her immeasurable pride and joy.
A creative and spirited soul, Sandra had a passion for thrifting, antiquing, and shopping, always on the hunt for hidden treasures that spoke to her artistic spirit. Her hands were never idle; she poured her heart into knitting, creating beautiful pieces that wrapped loved ones in warmth, both literally and figuratively. Cooking was another avenue through which she expressed her love, delighting friends and family with her culinary masterpieces.
Sandra’s creativity extended to her artwork, reflecting her vibrant personality and her ability to see beauty in the world around her. Every piece she created resonated with her infectious zest for life.
She leaves behind her loving siblings: Steve Pevey and Robbie Bessinette, who will forever hold cherished memories of their time together, as well as all the lessons they learned from the loving guidance of their parents, Sam Pevey and Etol Wingate.
While we grieve Sandra’s passing, we take solace in knowing she has been reunited with those who departed before her, including her son, Jimmy Copelan, her granddaughter, Kimberly Copelan, and her sister, Grace Travis. They now share in eternal peace, their spirits forever intertwined.
As we gather to celebrate Sandra’s remarkable life, we remember her as a woman of unparalleled compassion and creativity, whose love knew no bounds. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, each role she played a testament to a life filled with love and joy. We will carry her spirit in our hearts, honoring her memory by cherishing one another as she cherished us.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
