Ronnie Woods

Charles Ronald “Ronnie” Woods passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 16, 2022. He was 75 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, June 20^th from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.

Ronnie was born April 1, 1947, in Jackson, MS to the late Charles and Katie Woods. He moved to Richland 25 years ago where he was a member of Plain Baptist Church. He worked as a Supervisor of Maintenance with the Institute of Higher Learning. He also worked as a painter, painting houses.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking out and rocking on the patio, just talking. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He would love for his family to get together so he could cook all day for them.

Along with his parents, Ronnie was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Bland. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Judy Woods of Richland; son, Kevin Woods of Florence; stepdaughter, Cathy Goodwin (Glenn) Of Georgia; 5 grandchildren, Cole Woods, Natalie Woods, Madison (Logan) Goodwin, Keaton Goodwin, and Hallie Goodwin.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Diabetes Association in Ronnie’s memory.
