Mr. Ronald Douglas Smith

Ronald Douglas Smith passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was 59 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 2nd from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday, March 3rd from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Ronald was born July 11, 1962 in Jackson, MS to the late Shelby and Mildred Smith. He worked in the Jackson area as a machinist. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing, drag racing and collecting antiques. Along with his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Shelby Smith. He is survived by his brothers, James (Leisha) Smith of Byram and Mike (Glenda) Smith of Florence; sister, Linda Weems of Richland; and son, Collin Joel (Lizzy) Smith of Raymond.
