Ronald "Ronnie" Earl Johnson

Ronald “Ronnie” Earl Johnson passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, in Camden, MS. He was 66 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS.  The graveside service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories.

Ronnie was born on December 28, 1956, to Ernest and Dorothy Johnson in Monroe, LA. Ronnie was a mechanic and enjoyed working on vehicles. He ran three mechanic shops at three different times. One in Canton and two mechanic shops in Clinton. One of them being Texaco on Springridge Road. He loved hunting, fishing, cooking, and grilling. He also loved animals, especially dogs. His dog’s name was Bud, and Bud went everywhere with Mr. Ronnie. But above all these things, he loved his family.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Susan Johnson of Camden, MS; 2 sons; stepdaughter, Jenny Hughey (Mark Moore) of Jackson, MS; stepsons, Phillip Hughey of Hattiesburg, MS, and Steven Hughey (Patricia) of Wilmington, NC; and brother, Terry Wayne Johnson of New Mexico.
