Robert Scruggs

Robert Scruggs, 81, died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson. \ \ Mr. Scruggs, a native of Byram, served in the Navy during the Korean War. He went to LSU on a football scholarship. He lived in Northern California for several years after his wife passed away. He's lived with his daughter for the past 3 years since becoming sick.\ \ Mr. Scruggs was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Cathey Scruggs and son, Robert Alan Scruggs. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Scruggs Earle; his granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Earle; grandson, Michael Wade Earle; and his brother, Lamar Scruggs.\ \ In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chancellor Funeral Home, 7225 Siwell Road Byram, MS 39272. \
