Robert Lynn Flanagan

Robert “Robbie” Lynn Flanagan entered his Heavenly home on Thursday, January 4, 2024, in Jackson, MS. He was 64 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Richland Global Methodist Church in Richland, MS. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Pelahatchie Cemetery in Pelahatchie, MS.

Robbie was born on May 18, 1959, to Mary Sue Flanagan Hawkins in Jackson, MS. He was raised in Pelahatchie but lived most of his life in Florence. Robbie was a member of Richland Global Methodist Church where he served as an usher. He loved his family, especially his daughters, grandchildren, brother Wes and sister Angela, whom he was caregiver for. He also loved his critters and LSU football. GEAUX TIGERS!!! His daughters were his greatest achievements. His hobby and life were taking care of his family. He spent the last 7 years helping take care of and raise his grandchildren. Robbie never met a stranger. He was kindhearted, loving, and had a servant’s heart. To know him was to love him. Robbie enjoyed art. He painted rocks with religious slogans on them which he shared with everyone. If you were ever fortunate to own one of Robbie’s rocks, then you were blessed. He will truly be missed.

Robbie is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Hawkins. He is survived by his father, Danny Hawkins; daughters, Jessica Flanagan, and Natalie Flanagan both of Florence, MS; brother, Wes and Michelle Hawkins of Brandon, MS; sister, Angela Richardson of Brandon, MS; aunt, Ruby Ainsworth of Braxton, MS; uncle, Bubba Flanagan of Pelahatchie; grandchildren, Ashlynn Flanagan, Evan Clark, Addy Sue Clark, Hudson Flanagan, and Henley Klopfenstein; and a host of nieces and nephews.
