IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paula Wren
Denley
March 27, 1951 – February 22, 2026
Paula Wren Williams Denley was received into the arms of her loving Savior on Sunday, February 22, 2026. After a lengthy and well fought battle against leukemia, while at home with her loving husband by her side, she heeded the long-awaited call of Jesus. We rejoice in the promises of God that those of us who proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord, and by His death, burial, and Resurrection, will see her again in Heavenly eternity.
Paula was fiercely strong, immensely intelligent, exceptionally generous, loyal and compassionate beyond measure. She loved deeply and selflessly. She loved the Lord with her entire being and, even on her worst days, she chose to encourage others by talking about the love and faithfulness of Jesus.
Paula was born March 27, 1951, in Jackson, MS, to Edgar and Geraldine (Marsalis) Williams. She was an early graduate of Wingfield High School and immediately entered into a computer programming career. She was one of the original coding professionals recruited to help Microsoft with their early beta testing. She excelled in this field for more than 45 years, including her most valued employment with Hughes Oil & Gas for more than three decades. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, and caring for her goats, her miniature horses, Rascal and Sassy, and her beloved Scooter, a miniature cross-back donkey.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert, her daughters Wendie Woods (Starkville), Ann Denley (Terry), and Cindy Denley-Snell (FL), her bonus daughters Donna Lewis (NC) and Laura Cecil (TX), her dearest friends Bonnie Mitchell (TX), Carolyn Morris (TX), Anne Land (MS), her brother R. J. Williams (Clinton), a host of grands, great-grands, nieces, nephews, and many, many family and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional and compassionate care of the UMMC Oncologists and nurses, the staff of MS HomeCare Crystal Springs, and the entire team at Heart of Hospice Jackson.
