Patricia Leah Struemph

January 13, 1954 — June 29, 2023

Crystal Springs

Patricia Leah Struemph, affectionately known as Mrs. Pat, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.  She was born on January 13, 1954, in Louisville, KY, to the Birchfields.

From a young age, Mrs. Pat embraced her Cherokee Indian roots and carried that pride throughout her life. She found immense joy in learning about her heritage and sharing it with those around her. As a child, her family moved to Shreveport, LA, and she later moved to South Jackson.  For the last six years she called Crystal Springs her home, with her beloved husband of 24 years, John Struemph.

Mrs. Pat's caring disposition shone brightly in the roles she held as a devoted wife, loving mother, and compassionate friend. Her ability to lend an ear and offer heartfelt advice made her not only an exceptional listener but also an invaluable confidante to countless individuals who were fortunate enough to know her. She possessed a kind heart that radiated empathy and compassion towards others. Never uttering a harsh word about anyone, she embraced what it meant to be truly genuine.

In addition to her husband John, Patricia leaves behind three sons: Matthew Madison of Crystal Springs; Patrick Birchfield (Nikki) of Purvis; and Donnie Johnson of Crystal Springs; as well as a sister, JoAnn Hurtgen from Louisville, KY.  Mrs. Pat's legacy will live on through her two precious grandchildren, Ethan Birchfield and Sydney Birchfield.

The family will be having a Memorial Service for Mrs. Pat at a later date.
