Mrs. Patricia Hawkins Pleasant

Mrs. Patricia H. Pleasant, 88, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Riggs Manor in Raymond, MS, where she had lived for the past 5 years. A Graveside Service will be on Thursday, September 8th at 2:00 PM at Terry Cemetery in Terry, MS. A native of Ridgeland, Mrs. Pleasant had lived in Terry most of her life. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She graduated from Sacred Heart Business School and was a legal secretary for the Mississippi Department of Welfare. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Pleasant, her parents Wardell Hawkins and Rachael Hawkins; and a brother Willard Hawkins. She is survived by her daughters, Jane "Dee" Pleasant of Byram and Delma (Mike) Vandiver of Edwards, brother, Durrell (Carolyn) Hawkins of Gluckstadt; sisters, Trudy (Jim) Stringer of Nashville and Rie (Rick) Barthelme of Miramar Beach, FL; grandsons, Joshua Vandiver of Irondale, Alabama, Jared (Leslie) Vandiver of Brandon and Matthew Vandiver of Edwards; great granddaughters, Kate and Allie Vandiver of Brandon.
