Ouida Jordan

Mrs. Ouida Cook Jordan, 83, went home to be with the Lord from her residence at Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg Saturday, December 8, 2007. Visitation is at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Wednesday 12 noon until the 2 p.m. service. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.\ \ Mrs. Jordan had lived in Florence for 30 years before moving to Hattiesburg. She was a member of St. Colombs Episcopal Church. Before retirement, she had been a buyer for The Emporium and later for Gayfers.\ \ She is preceded in death by her late husband, William Preston Jordan, and her son, William Preston Jordan, Jr. \ \ She is survived by daughters: Janice Ouida Jordan of Jackson and Gaylia Jordan of Hattiesburg; one sister, Hattie Jane Abernathy of Tupelo; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.\
