Nancy Boggs Levins passed away peacefully on November 2, 2026, at the age of 91. Nancy was born to the late Noah Anthony Boggs and Willie Mae Bates Boggs and was raised in Wayne County, MS. After graduating high school, she moved to Jackson to attend Draughon’s Business College. Shortly after moving to Jackson, she met the love of her life, Ben Levins, and they married the following year. Together, they raised two children and were blessed to have nearly fifty years together as a married couple.
Nancy felt that her most important job was raising her children, but as they grew older, she worked as an administrative assistant. When her grandchildren arrived, she enjoyed spending time with them at every opportunity. She had a creative personality and enjoyed painting, sewing, and decorating; but her favorite hobby was gardening and landscaping her yard. She continued to work in her yard well into her 80’s until she was no longer able.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Levins; her son, Don Levins, Sr. and her half-brother, William Boggs. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Robinson (James); three grandchildren: Don Levins, Jr., Summer DeSimone (Scott), and Robby Robinson (Nancy); three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She also leaves behind many beloved extended family members.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the entire staff at Plain View Assisted Living for the exceptional loving care they provided over the last few years.
Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, with a committal service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.
