Michelle Hamning Boyd

Michelle H. Boyd, age 44, went to be with Lord our Father on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the celebration of her life following all at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence.

Michelle was born May 10, 1978, in Harvey, Illinois. She grew up in Terry, Mississippi where she still resided at her passing. Michelle was a 1996 graduate of Byram High School and went on to earn a Nursing Degree from Hinds Community College. In 2005, she married Darren Boyd, and became the proud and loving mother of three children.

Michelle was an avid reader, but mostly loved hanging out with her daughter and being involved in sporting activities with her two sons. She always had a smile on her face. Michelle was a spiritual, caring person who could always make you laugh.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darren Boyd, her grandfather, Elmer “Juda” Roberts, grandparents, Elmer and Corinne Hamning, and an uncle, Gary Roberts.

Michelle leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Briana, Kyler, and Madden Boyd; her parents, David and Cindy Hamning; her grandmother, Gloria Roberts; an uncle, Mark Roberts; a brotherly cousin, Wes Roberts; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

The family requests all flowers or memorial donations be sent to Hickory Ridge Baptist Church, 319 Hickory Ridge Road, Florence, MS 39073.
