IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Ray
Chambers
August 8, 1950 – March 22, 2026
Michael Ray Chambers, affectionately known as Mike, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi. Born on August 8, 1950, Mike lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity, devotion to family, and a rich array of passions that enriched those around him.
Mike was a man of remarkable academic achievement, having earned a Doctorate in Pharmaceuticals. His commitment to education and knowledge was a testament to his discipline and dedication. Among his many accomplishments, he was especially proud of his mastery in Martial Arts, a pursuit that reflected his perseverance and inner strength.
Beyond his professional and physical pursuits, Mike was a vibrant individual who found joy in diverse interests. He cherished boating, macramé, music, and traveling; these hobbies not only brought him personal satisfaction but also allowed him to connect with others and explore the world. His profound interest in history, particularly the era of Napoleon, reveals the depth of his reflective and analytical mind.
He is deeply mourned by his life partner, Deborah Brandon, whose companionship was a source of great comfort and happiness to him. Mike's legacy continues strongly through his children: Paul Michael Chambers and his wife Hillary, Sarah Celeste Chambers, and Stone Jonathan Ruffin-Chambers. He was a devoted grandfather to Scott Chambers, Benjamin Chambers, Amanda Kephart, Elizabeth Kephart, Alexandra Kephart, and Nathan Lakin, each of whom will carry forward his memory and spirit. Mike also shared a close bond with his sister, Pat Durand, and her husband, Mike.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Foster and Rachel Chambers, and his daughters, Norah "Lani" Kephart, and Elizabeth Chambers, whose memories he cherished deeply.
