He had the heart of a servant. Matthew attended both Auburn University and the University of Alabama. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He worked in the car industry as a service manager before coming to Mississippi to start a family business. He took pride in everything he did. His family got the opportunity to work with him and see him every day. He was preceded in death by Billy Wayne “Poppy” Miller (grandfather), Marion Landers (grandfather), Thomas Pittman (great-grandfather), Sarah “Pop Sarah” Pittman (great- grandmother), Stephen Pittman (Great Uncle), and Jimmie Alverson (Great Uncle). Matthew is survived by his father, Rusty and mother, Sarah; his sister, Caroline; his brother, Andrew; his two dogs, Curtis and Toby; and two grandmothers, Tommye “Mimaw” Hurtt and Mary M. “Jamal” Miller.
