Mary Emily Lambert

Mrs Mary Emily Russell Lambert, age 89, went to heaven on April 14, 2024.  Mrs. Lambert was born in 1934 in the Carmel Community of Monticello MS. She graduated from Monticello High School and then moved to Jackson and worked until retiring at the State Department of Education and the Employment Security Commission. She knew her Savior well and was a member of Wynndale Baptist Church and former member of Oak Forest Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years. She loved to bake and loved making homemade bread to share with family and friends! 

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lowery Lambert; and her parents, Shelby and Eunice Russell. Survivors include a daughter Lisa Heard (Steven) of Corinth, TX; grandson, Austin Heard (Deanne), great grandson, Jackson and great granddaughter, Callie; and grandson Brandon Heard (Chelsea); great grandsons, Paxton and Beckham; daughter, Dina Russell of Flowood, MS, grandson, David Russell (Katie), and great grandson, John Lowery Russell.

Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home, Byram MS from 11:00 to 12:00 on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, with service to follow at 12:00 with burial to follow at Terry Cemetery, Terry, MS.
