Mary Beth Dyer, beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on July 7, 1949, Mary Beth lived a life centered around the Lord and the people she loved most. Her greatest joy was her family, and the love she gave them will continue to live on in each of their hearts.

Mary Beth was the devoted wife of Terry Dyer, her beloved husband of the last 29 years. Together, they built a life filled with love and countless moments that will be treasured forever.

She was a loving mother to Troy (Tammy) Skinner of Brazil, Indiana; Tony (April) Skinner of Muncie, Indiana; and Ginger (James) Koestler of Florence, Mississippi. Her greatest pride and joy was being Nana to Lauren, Landon, Tripp, Crimson, and Brexton. She loved each of her grandchildren fiercely and took great delight in watching them grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and simply being part of their lives. To them, she was not only Nana, but a source of unconditional love, comfort, laughter, and memories that will never fade.

Mary Beth was a devoted sister and aunt who cherished her family and the special relationships she shared with them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Turley and Norma Jean Gritter; her brother, Frank; and her beloved nephew, Daniel. Though they have gone before her, the love they shared remains a treasured part of her story.

Mary Beth was an active and faithful member of Siwell Road Church of Christ, where her faith and fellowship were an important part of her life. She found joy in serving others and in the friendships she made through her church family.

For more than 30 years, Mary Beth proudly worked at Atlas Roofing, where she built lasting friendships and became a familiar and valued part of the company. Her dedication to her work was just one reflection of the loyalty and commitment she brought to everything she did.

And then there was shopping.

Mary Beth had a gift for finding a bargain and could find a treasure just about anywhere. She loved pop beads, garage sales, QVC, Belk, and consignment sales, and she could spot a good find when she saw one. Black Friday was practically a holiday of its own, and she never wanted to miss a sale. Her love of shopping was more than finding a great deal—it was part of who she was, and many of the people who loved her will smile when they think of the excitement she found in a good bargain.

Mary Beth will be remembered for her generous heart, her devotion to her family, her strong faith, her sense of humor, and the countless little ways she made the lives of those around her better. She leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will be carried forward by her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

Though her family will deeply miss her presence, her love will remain—in the stories they tell, the traditions they carry on, the lessons she taught them, and in the many ordinary moments that will forever remind them of her.

Her family was her greatest treasure, and she was theirs.

Funeral services for Mary Beth Dyer will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, Mississippi. Visitation will be held from 9:00–11:00 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Beth’s honor to Pine Vale Children’s Home in Corinth, Mississippi, or the Berean Children's Home in Brookhaven, Mississippi, organizations that reflect her love and concern for others.
