Guy Leon Martin,79 , of Byram died July 13?, 2008 at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson.\ Family and friends will gather at Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church, 6880 Siwell Rd., in Byram at 6pm on Thursday, July 17, 2008 followed by a celebration of his life memorial service at 7:00pm.\ \ Mr. Martin was born in Mobile, Al on January 21, 1929. An Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr. Martin was owner and operator of Jackson Typewriter Co.\ \ He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Joyce. Survivors include his son, Hal (Barb) Martin, daughter, Karen (Ron) Langford, brothers, William and Johnny Martin; sisters, Mary Taylor and Marvelle Cantrell; grandchildren, Jason, Paul and Michael Martin and Justin Hales and four great grandchildren.\ \ Memorials may be made to Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church of Byram, or a charity of your choice.
