Mrs. Martha Caillouet Decareaux Hornkohl passed away September 30, 2026. She was born in Greenville, MS. She graduated from E. E. Bass High School; attended Judson College in Marion, AL, and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. A longtime resident of Jackson, MS she retired from Mississippi Valley Gas Company.
Martha loved and enjoyed her family, extended family, and friends; years of active involvements in her church, St. Therese Catholic Church of Jackson; and as a couple, she and her husband, Leo made many military retiree trips together.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Louise Caillouet; her brother, Herman Preston Caillouet; her first husband and the father to her children, Thomas "Tommy" C. Decareaux, Jr. and husband, Leo Hornkohl.
Martha is survived by her sons, David C. Decareaux (Shannon) of Brandon and Stephen T. Decareaux (Ellen) of Florida; daughters, Leesa D. Guyton (Jim) of Texas and Anne D. Clark (Steve) of Brandon; a stepson, Daniel Christian Hornkohl (Tracy) of Alabama and stepdaughters, Laura E. Hornkohl of Colorado and Mary E. Seale of Alabama. She is also survived by a sister, Frances C. Carlton (Nate); grandchildren, Quinten Decareaux, Hunter Decareaux, Stephen Decareaux, Douglas Hillman, and Jenna Langele; step grandchildren, Lauren Hinkle, Jonathan Hinkle, Reid Clark, Sawyer Clark, Michael Seale, Matthew Seale, Brandon Hornkohl, and Taylor Hornkohl; great grandchildren, Jonas, Henry, Hank, Hana, Rachael, Thomas, Asher, and Nash; step great grandchildren, Ramona, Margo, and Cody.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Therese Catholic Church in Jackson, MS.
