Margret Stocker Berry

Margret Stocker Berry, 93 years of age, born July 10, 1932, went to be with her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 14, 2025. She was the daughter of Clyde Everett and Alma Seay Holmes. Margret lived most of her life in Jackson, MS and graduated from Central High School. She retired from BellSouth.

Being an avid gardener, her hobby was planting and tending to her many flowers, and working in her yard, always adding more! She was a Saint for helping other people in need; always taking folks to doctor appointments, giving her time, money, food, for whatever people/friends were in need. Her final church membership was the home of Briar Hill Baptist Church, Florence, MS.

She is survived by her two children; Debbie Stocker Allen (David), Townsend, TN and Mike Stocker (Brinda), Florence, MS; grandchildren, Dave Allen (Lindsey), Knoxville, TN, Courtney Allen Lantz (Brian), Madison, MS, Candice Stocker Barber (Nathan), Crystal Springs, MS, and Stacy Stocker, Florence, MS; great grandchildren, Libby Claire Lantz, Nolan Lantz, Nora Barber, Lucas Barber, Benton Taylor, and Sara Powell Taylor; and brother, Jack Holmes, 95 years of age, McComb, MS. She is preceded in death by her belated spouses, Harry J. Stocker and Carl Berry; and her belated siblings, Carolyn Holmes Fayard, Jean Holmes Gonzales, and Clyde Holmes, Jr.

She will always be remembered as a loving mother and a great Christian child of God. There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon at Chancellor Funeral Home on Hwy 49 South, Florence, MS.
