Margaret Gordon

Mrs. Margaret Compere Gordon, 67, went home to unite with her Lord, August 21, 2008 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Graveside services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Mt. Creek Cemetery in Florence.\ \ Mrs. Gordon was a life long resident of the Mt. Creek community in Florence. Since she loved children, she spent her life giving of her talents as she worked as a dietitian at various day care centers. She was a member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church.\ \ She is survived by her sister, Mamie Ruth Sowell of Richland, a brother, L.D. Compere of Florence and a number of nieces and nephews.\
