Lynne Miller, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. Born on February 4, 1957, Lynne touched the lives of many with her kind and welcoming spirit, which shone brightly in every interaction.
In her later years, Lynne found fulfillment as a cashier at Kroger in Pearl, where her warm smile and genuine kindness made her a favorite among customers and colleagues alike. She was not just an employee; she was a beacon of positivity, always loving to anyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
Lynne had an immense passion for life that was evident in everything she did. She loved collecting Bratz dolls, a hobby that often brought her joy and nostalgia. Her fondness for animals, especially dogs and cats, showcased her compassionate nature. Lynne celebrated life with gusto, enjoying trips to the beach, exquisite jewelry, and the thrill of shopping, often adorned in her favorite bling, shoes, and purses. Those who knew her could attest to her selflessness; she would give the shirt off her back to help others.
Lynne is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Nicole Gunter and Shannon (Jeremy) Gunter; her beloved grandchildren, Harley Davis, Brodie Akers, and Hayley Gunter, Macy and Jeremiah; and her cherished nieces and nephew, Megan McKay, Jon and Layla, Kristen Hall, and Aaron McDaniel. She was also a devoted sister to Connie (Larry) Lewis and brothers Johnny (Pat) McDaniel and Steve (Pam) McDaniel. The bond she shared with her father, John McDaniel, was profound, and she carried the memory of her late mother, Katherine Jean McDaniel, with her as a source of strength and inspiration. Lynne’s deep connection with her ex-husband and very special friend, Doug Gunter, highlighted the enduring relationships she nurtured throughout her life.
As we reflect on Lynne's life, we celebrate her legacy of love and kindness. She leaves behind a world made brighter by her presence and a family that will forever cherish the memories they created together. Lynne Miller will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those she so warmly embraced.
