Lynita Inez Searcy, born August 28, 1963, in Jackson, Mississippi, passed away on October 19, 2026, in Olive Branch, Mississippi. She will be remembered as a woman of warm faith, generous spirit, and joyful presence, someone who loved life and embraced others with ease and sincerity.

Lynita was deeply devoted to her church and to the people within it. An active and faithful member of Solid Rock Assembly of God, she gave of herself in ways that reflected both her heart for service and her love for community. She was especially devoted to her work with the nursery and the Senior Citizens group in Olive Branch, caring for others with tenderness, consistency, and grace. Her faith was not simply something she held; it was something she lived out in fellowship, service, and compassion.

She also found happiness in crafting, a pastime that reflected her creative spirit. Lynita loved being involved, loved her friends, and loved the fullness of life. She had a remarkable gift for connection and would make a friend wherever she went. That welcoming nature, paired with her genuine affection for people, made her a source of comfort and companionship to many.

Above all, Lynita treasured her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and those moments brought her special joy. Her love for them, for her friends, and for the people around her was a defining part of her life, and that love will remain a lasting memory for all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Byron Doty; her mother, Rebecca Jordan Simmons; her grandson, Kaleb Neal; her granddaughter, Presleigh Doty; and her brother, Duane Simmons. Each of them carries forward the memory of her kindness, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Simmons; her son, Daniel Doty; her brothers, Michael Simmons and William Simmons; and her sisters, Sonya Simmons, Donna Knight, and Mona Simmons. Their memories remained part of her life and story, and now she is reunited with those who went before her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home Florence, 2576 US 49, Florence, Mississippi 39073. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Attala Memory Gardens, 4900 Attala Rd 1010, Kosciusko, Mississippi 39090.

Lynita Inez Searcy will be remembered with love for her faithful heart, her friendly spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
