Florence
Linda Faye Brasher of Florence, Mississippi, passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on January 25, 1948, in Attala County to E.G. Braswell and Nina Sanders.
Linda was a member of Quest Community Church and spent many years working as a cosmetologist, building relationships and touching countless lives through her profession. But above all, she cherished her role as "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a title she wore with immense pride and love.
Family was the center of Linda's world. She treasured every moment spent together. She found her greatest happiness in family gatherings, relaxing at the lake with husband Bones, and enjoying a day of fishing surround by the people she loved. The memories she created will forever live on in the hearts of her family.
Linda leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish her memory, including her four boys, John Brown and his wife Vicky of Florence, Todd Brown and his wife Sandy of Florence, Jason Brown and Laura Tuttle of Raymond, and Del Lollar and his wife Robin of Flowood.
She is also survived by her five stepchildren, Tracy Teat and husband Sean, Freddie Brasher and wife Kristina, Michelle Tobler and husband Chris, Tony Brasher and wife Beth, and Starr Jernigan.
Her legacy of love continues through her fourteen grandchildren, Jessica Montenegro, Justin Brown, Shaun Brown, Tyler Brown, Dustin Brown, Cole Brown, Blake Brown, Lexie Lollar, Kylie Brown, Logan Lollar, Isabelle Brown, Ruth Brown, Steven Wilson, and Ashlee Mitchke; along with ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, who brought her so much joy.
Linda is also survived by her siblings, Peggy Wills, Deborah Parks, Coleman Sanders, and Pam Kennedy.
Linda was proceeded in death by husband, Bones Brasher, her father, E.G. Braswell, her mother, Nina Sanders, her stepfather, John Sanders, her brothers, Edgar Braswell, Randy Braswell, and Bernice Braswell and sister, Johnny Carol Sanders.
Though Linda's family must now face life without her loving presence, the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain forever. Her legacy lives on through the generations of children and grandchildren who knew her as Nanny.
