Larry Lewis went to meet his Savior on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Born and raised in Jackson, Larry moved to Florence over twenty years ago. A graduate of Forest Hill High School and Mississippi College, he worked for Bellsouth and ATT until his retirement. 

Larry loved his family. He loved his nieces and nephews unconditionally. He also spent most of his time with all of his beloved pets. At any point when you saw Larry, he had his dog in the truck with him. He played on the Mississippi Senior Olympic Basketball team for many years and was a huge fan of the Duke Blue Devils. This was a constant source of conversation between him and his niece. 

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Roy and Una Lewis. 

Larry is survived by his brother and sister in law, Harvey and Charlene Lewis, his sister and brother in law, Rachel and Cliff Gill. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Josh Lewis, Joey Gill and his wife Amanda, and Molly Maw and her husband Bryan. His great nieces and nephews were also a source of pride to him, Madison Maw, Hunter Maw, Paylin Maw, Harper Maw, Levi Gill, Collin Gill. He is also survived by his grandson Tyler Hughes.
