Kenneth Martin

Mr. Kenneth Rene “Kenny” Martin, 59, passed into the arms of Jesus the afternoon of March 28, 2024 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson.  His visitation will be Monday, April 1, 2024 from 10 am until 11 am at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram with a Graveside service at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Crystal Springs at 12 pm. 

Kenny is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Brooks Martin and his father, Billy Kenneth Martin.  He is survived by his children, Beverly Sykes(Paul), Ryan Thornton, Cyndi Robinson(Cole), and Steve Thornton(Carol); his mother, Jautees Martin; his brother, Jimmy Martin; and a sister, Natalia Martin.  He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Breanna Sykes, Pierce Sykes, Riley Thornton, Eli Thornton, Ava Robinson, Damien Robinson, Samantha Robinson, Johnathon Thornton, Raelynn Thornton, and Brooklynn Thornton; and many nieces and nephews.

Kenny loved God, his family, and his Alabama football.  One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and he felt the best title he was ever given was “Pawpaw”.
