Mrs. Kathryn Lorraine Ferguson Miller, 83, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Memorial service celebrating her life will be Friday, 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church Chapel, Madison.\ \ Mrs. Miller was born, March 24, 1925 to Daniel Hector and Elsie Buhler Ferguson. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, an infant son, Daniel Miller and ex-husband, Chester Rowe Miller. \ \ She raised her children in Los Angeles, CA and retired from Systems Furniture. She was a long time volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the Senior Center in her Los Angeles community, starting with 20 seniors attending the monthly dinners; the number swelled to over 100 when they learned of her fine food preparation. Also in Los Angeles she participated in the opening ceremony of the 1984 summer Olympics with her Scottish Country Dancing group. She moved to Madison in 2003 to live near her son Brian, always saying how much she loved being there making many friends. She was a member of the Frances Reynolds Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church Madison and the Madison Garden Club. \ \ She leaves her loving children, Vicki Griffiths, Elyse Petzold, Brian Miller, Jeffrey, Miller, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and her loving caregiver, Mary Lou Ayers. Two of her favorite companions were her dog, Corky and her cat, Furby.\ \ In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Madison, PO Box 400, Madison, MS 39110 or the Animal Rescue League, 5221 Greenway Dr. Ext.
