On August 24, 2025, Josephine Barron, 88 years of age, was called home to her Lord and Savior. She was born in Tucson, AZ, on February 1, 1937 to Charles and Rita Hayden. Josephine was the oldest of 8 children and a lifelong resident of Byram. She attended Central High School. She worked many years at Hardins Bakery as office manager until they closed. She later retired from Entergy.
She is survived by two children, Joey Warren (Cynthia) of Brandon and Brian Warren of Byram. She was “Granny ” to three grandchildren, Kristin Myers (Jeff) of Florence, Zachary Warren of Brandon, and Zane Warren (Ashlynn) of Brandon; and 8 great grandchildren, Mason, Brooklin, Kailin, Logan, Annalee, Reese, Hudson, and Harper; and two great, great grandchildren, Cason, and Braylee. She leaves behind a brother, David Brewer and a sister, Elizabeth Piazza , and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Eugene Barron; her son, Eddy Ray Warren, her brothers, Robert Hayden, Raymond Brewer, and Mike Brewer; and sisters, Rayma Butler and Virginia Brewer.
She went by many names to her family and friends, “Granny”, “Granny Jo”, “Gran Gran”, Jo, and Josephine, but to her boys she will always be “Momma”.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chancellor Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service in the chapel. Burial will take place at Lakewood South on McCluer Road.
