John Sherman Ballengee, Sr.

John Sherman Ballengee, Sr., 87, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 in Brandon. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.\ \ Mr. Ballengee was born in Lilly Brook West Virginia. He was a member of the 992 Local Teamsters in Hagerstown, MD, served in the U.S. Marine Corp, and was a truck driver for 42 years.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters, his first wife, Aileen Parish Ballengee, and his grandson, David Moats.\ \ Mr. Ballengee is survived by his wife, Eleanor "Ellie" Ballengee; son, John "Joanne" Ballengee, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; three daughters, Brenda Mills of Biloxi, Judith (Roger) Sirbaugh of Waynesboro, PA, and Sandra (Danny) Dowd of Utica, NY; one stepson, Blake (Anita) Haines of Plain City, OH; one stepdaughter, Luann (Billy) Moore of Florence; 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, 12 step Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.\
