Mr. John Franklin Boyd, Jr. ,89 , passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at MS State Veterans Home in Jackson. Graveside services will be 3:00pm Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Lakeland Place, Garden Park Cemetery. Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram handling arrangements.\ \ Mr. Boyd was born June 11, 1921 in Litchfield, IL to John Franklin Boyd, Sr. and Esta Ola Bailey Boyd. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during WWII and Korea. Mr. Boyd was an Agricultural Advisor for the State of MS-Extension Division and US Department of State-AID.\ \ He is preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Slade, Ruth Dees and Verda Boyd; brothers Clinton and Ernest Boyd.\ \ Left to cherish his memory are his many nieces and nephews.
