John Dexter Wilmoth passed away on September 3, 2026, in Copiah County. He was born on August 26, 1948.

John was a truck driver throughout his whole working life. He was also someone who enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family. Those simple and steady parts of his life helped shape the way he will be remembered by the people who knew and loved him.

Above all, John’s family was at the center of his life. He is survived by his wife, Nora Wilmoth, and by his sons, John Wayne Wilmoth and Scottie Wilmoth and 7 grandchildren. The love he shared with his family and the time they spent together will remain a lasting part of his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Beth Spinks and his 12 siblings.
