Joe Daniel Hardin

Mr. Joe Hardin, 54 – died Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born August 25, 1968, in Jackson, MS to Jimmy Hardin, Sr. and Patricia (Hall) Hardin.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home, Florence and again Thursday, June 15 from 10:00 am until 12 noon. The service will begin at 12 noon Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Patricia Hall Hardin and Jimmy Coker Hardin, Sr., one brother, Jimmy Hardin, Jr. (Faye) of Vicksburg, MS, one sister, Julie Davis (Jeff) of Conehatta, MS, nieces and nephews: Nicole Embry (Andrew), Dustin Hardin (Shelby), and J.R. Armour; great nephews: Coleman Hardin, Pryor Hardin, Beckett Embry; and his great niece Landry Embry whom he loved the most.

Mr. Hardin was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church where he was involved in all church activities. He earned the Eagle Scout designation through BSA and was active in the South group. Joe was an avid bass fisherman. He loved to work with his hands as shown in his talented welding and mechanic abilities. Joe never met a stranger. He enjoyed cooking and those close to him knew him as the “Pork Loin King.” He was appreciative of the life skills taught to him by his father but could be considered “Momma’s Baby.” He loved his family greatly, especially children and animals. Joe truly had the heart of a servant and he demonstrated throughout his life by always putting others first. In his spare time, he was employed as a driver for U.S. Food for over 24 years where he grew attached to both his co-workers and customers.

Joe will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
