Jimmie Massey

Mr. Jimmie Dale Massey, 62, died at Crossgates-River Oaks Hospital, Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Visitation will be Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Saturday, 11-1 p.m. prior to 1 p.m. services at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Memorial Park.\ \ Mr. Massey a long time resident of Pearl worked as a machinist with Massey Machines for a number of years. He was a wonderful family man that loved his wife, children and grandchildren.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Nita Massey of Pearl; son, Donnie (Candi) Massey of Pearl; daughter, Connie (Joel) Ponder of Brandon; brother, Ray (Ann) Massey of Florence; sisters: Carolyn (Jesse) Jacobs of Florence, Margaret (Theron) Smith of DeKalb, and Irene (Charles) Page of Meridian; and six grandchildren: Grace and Melody Massey, Lindsey, Taylor, Baylee, and Jordan Ponder.\ \
