Jimmie Sue Barlow Dear Furlow, 91, passed from this life on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. A Graveside Service will be held at Harrisville Cemetery on Monday, February 8th at 11:00 a.m. Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence is assisting the family with arrangements. Jimmie was born in Harrisville, MS to J.D. and Ola Barlow. She grew up in Harrisville. She was a Christian and a member of Marvin Untied Methodist Church in Florence. She worked for 16 years at Kosciusko Hosiery Mill in Kosciusko, MS and retried from Eckerd’s Drug Stores after 16 years as a cosmetician. Along with her parents, Jimmie is also preceded in death by all eight siblings, and her husbands, Fred Dear of 38 years and Austin Furlow of 22 years. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Michael) Poole of New Smyrna Beach, FL; one son, Dennis Dear of Brandon, MS; granddaughters, Susan (David) Lear and Beth (Joe) Sheridan; and four great-grandchildren, Donovan, Lana, Addie and Fern all from Florida. She also had many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
