Jessie Savell

Jessie Lillian Savell, 97, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at her residence in Ocean Springs, MS. Due to the current situation in our world and the concern for their family and friends; they will have a private family service. Chancellor Funeral Home, Byram, MS is handling the arrangements. Jessie was born January 8, 1923 in Neshoba County to Lawrence and Lena Thomas Moore. A longtime resident of Terry, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Terry, MS. A loving mother and grandmother, she worked hard all her life, at home, in the garden, in the field and was an inspiration to many. She was a servant and loved her family and church family. She was an example of faith and love for Christ. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Herman Savell and great grandson, Michael Butler. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Donald (Martha) Savell of Terry; daughter Joanne (Pat) Butler of Ocean Springs; brother, Blanton Moore; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
